Plain English summary

Your audio, transcripts, and summaries are yours. We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models. You can delete everything with one click.

What we collect

  • Your email address and name (via Clerk authentication)
  • Audio and video files you upload
  • Transcripts and summaries generated from those files
  • Basic usage metadata (file sizes, upload times) for billing

Where it's stored

All files are stored in Google Cloud Storage in the US. Transcripts and summaries are stored in a PostgreSQL database (hosted on Neon, US East). Storage is encrypted at rest.

Who has access

Only you. Our staff doesn't access your content unless you explicitly grant support access to debug an issue.

Three third parties process your data on our behalf:

  • Deepgram — transcribes your audio. Data is processed and discarded; not retained or used for training (per their enterprise terms).
  • OpenAI — generates summaries via GPT-4o-mini API. We use the API tier where data is not used for training.
  • Clerk — handles your account login and session.

Deletion and retention

You can delete any recording from the dashboard. Deletion removes the audio file, transcript, and summary from our database and storage within 24 hours.

Free accounts: files are automatically deleted after 14 days of inactivity.

Closing your account deletes all your data within 30 days.

Your rights

You can export, modify, or delete your data at any time. Email [email protected] for any privacy questions or data requests.

Cookies

We use a session cookie for authentication. We don't use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.
